Catalogul Organizațiilor Internaționale
Synopsis
Catalogul Organizațiilor Internaționale is a Romanian-language international relations textbook covering 46 organisations: 35 intergovernmental organisations, from the United Nations and its agencies to the international financial institutions and regional organisations, and 11 non-governmental organisations. For each organisation, the book sets out its history, membership and structure, aims and activities, and funding, drawing on official documents and independent sources.
Its 77 case studies show the organisations at work: the UN transitional administration in East Timor, UNESCO's campaign to save the monuments of Nubia, the IMF programmes for Romania and Greece, the International Court of Justice ruling on the maritime boundary between Romania and Ukraine in the Black Sea, and the response of international organisations to the war in Ukraine, among others. Each case study opens with a photograph and ends with an assessment of the organisation's role.
The information reflects the situation on 1 October 2024.
